Epidemiology of Tobacco

Abstract: The Epidemiology of Tobacco Use and  course will introduce the participant to global tobacco issues, the epidemiology of tobacco use, and associated diseases. It will review the elements of effective tobacco control programs and HHS guidelines for tobacco control programs (CDC, PHS, NIH).

Speaker: Edward Trapido, PhD
Speaker Information: Dr. Edward Trapido is a Harvard educated Epidemiologist specializing in global tobacco related disease. Dr. Trapido is a Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Miami as well as Director of Evaluation for the UM AHEC Tobacco Program.
