Treating Tobacco Dependence in Primary Care
Abstract: This course will provide the clinician with updated evaluation techniques as well as new therapies and pharmaceuticals in the treatment of Tobacco Dependence.

Dr. David Brown is a Professor and the Chief of Family and Community Medicine at FIU School of Medicine. He teaches medical students at all levels, primarily in the Community Engaged Physician courses. A nationally recognized leader in socially accountable medical education and community-engaged research, his leadership has been pivotal in the success of the award-winning Green Family Foundation Neighborhood Health Education Learning Program, which integrates social determinants of health into the curriculum and promotes interprofessional teamwork and community engagement.
